THE BATTLE BETWEEN FORM AND MEANING
Wit, sarcasm, why bother?
You will only get a slap
In this politically correct world.
Freedom of expression.
Morality.
Foggy sea of unwritten law
And conservative tinned food.
Words have gained more power
Than actions,
And we are scared,
Scared of thinking,
Scared of creating.
Because we are cowards,
And we do not tell each other
What we think
Because of fear
We have lost the capacity
To speak.
Words are words
And meanings
Exist in the heart.
