THIGH CHI

I heard the phone ringing and I could not answer.
Please answer me, please answer me, it cried
Until the sixth tone, perhaps the seventh.
I lifted it and all became Cinemascope,
The DVD of the twentieth century.
I was living this black and white existence,
And suddenly it all became colour.
My inner self accounts for the external,
Duality, but am I alone?
Or is such duality not part of our essence?
We try so hard to push one extreme
Without realising the extreme is the opposite
And both are contained in each other.

No need to be Chinese to realise about this,
I am not turning Japanese, unwritten song,
And I only try to find my place in Nature.
