WHAT HAVE I DONE TODAY?
It was Monday.
I felt very lazy.
I didn’t go to the office.
I didn’t go out either.
Instead I stayed in all day long.
In the evening, I asked myself,
“What have I done today?”
Oh yes,
I remembered
How many times I met her,
How many times I cooked meals for her,
And how many times I made her scream.
I remembered
How many times I surprised her,
How many times I made her sad,
And how many times I told her silly jokes.
I remembered
How many times we argued over
Politics, religion and sex,
And never had an agreement
After long discussions.
When it was 19.36,
I remembered to call her.
So I called her.
Her mobile phone was switched off!
I asked myself again,
“What have I done today?”
Oh no,
I don’t want to remember it.
I forgot to tell her
“I love you.”
